COVID UPDATE – APRIL 2021

Our stores will open on Monday 12th April and we’re committed to keeping you safe while you shop.

LIMITED NUMBER OF GUESTS

So that we can limit the number of people in-store at any one time, we are encouraging customers to book appointments in advance and shop in groups no larger than two. Same day appointments are available, but we would recommend contacting us before travelling to avoid a wait.

PROTECTING YOU & OUR TEAM

In line with Government guidelines masks or visors must be worn in-store, unless exempt. Screens have also been placed at every desk.

HAND SANITISER

Guests will be asked to use hand sanitiser before trying on jewellery.

ADDITIONAL CLEANING ROTATIONS

Frequently touched areas such as door handles and desks are disinfected regularly and jewellery is thoroughly cleaned after handling.

THE VICTORIA QUARTER – ARCHITECTURE

Designed by renowned Architect Frank Matcham, The Victoria Quarter was built between 1898 and 1904. The arcades are celebrated for their plentiful use of mosaic and marble, as well as Britain’s largest Stained Glass Roof Covering, designed during a restoration project by Brian Clarke in 1989.

Known as “The Knightsbridge of the North”, The Victoria Quarter is home to designer brands including Louis Vuitton, Vivienne Westwood and Harvey Nichols.

MARCHING ON TOGETHER – LUFC & PHILLIP STONER

Phillip Stoner has been a Leeds United Business Club partner since 2018 and as avid supporters, we’ve followed the team’s journey long before that.

After 16 years away from England’s top tier, we are thrilled that Leeds United have secured a well deserved promotion to the Premier League.

Congratulations to the team, the management and the fans. We can’t wait to see what you do next season!

COVID-19 UPDATE: TEMPORARY STORE CLOSURE

We have been monitoring the situation regarding Coronavirus (Covid 19) carefully and it is with heavy hearts that we have decided to temporarily close Phillip Stoner The Jeweller’s physical stores. It’s a decision that hasn’t been taken lightly, but we feel the health and safety of our staff and customers has to come first.

Our Spinningfields Manchester store closed 22nd March with our Victoria Leeds and Trinity Leeds stores to follow, closing Monday 23rd March 2020.

We have been busy preparing for this over the past few weeks and have a team working remotely to continue to liaise with our designers, process special orders and repairs and take care of any new online sales and deliveries. We are available via live chat, email or phone so please do stay in touch.

Phillip Stoner The Jeweller, Victoria Quarter Leeds

We have spoken to the vast majority of our customers already, but if you have an item to collect and are unable to visit, please contact as us to discuss delivery options.

PHILLIPSTONER.COM remains open 24/7 with deliveries unaffected.

We will continue to communicate with you via social media, our website and e-newsletter as the ever-changing situation evolves.

In the meantime, please stay healthy, stay at home and we hope to see you all soon!

PHILLIP STONER THE JEWELLER ARMED ROBBERY

On Wednesday 29th January 2020 Phillip Stoner The Jeweller in Victoria Leeds was the victim of an armed robbery. Thankfully no staff were physically injured, but the aftermath has been devastating. Trading at the store will be disrupted for a few weeks while we rebuild, but we are here during normal opening hours if customers need anything. Please call us on 0113 242 7888 or email vq@phillipstoner.com

In the meantime our Trinity Leeds (only a 5min walk away) and Spinningfields Manchester boutiques are open as normal. If you would like to rearrange an appointment, or have a special order or jewellery repair to collect, please get in touch and we can discuss several different options with you.

We also have a large catalogue of Fine Jewellery and Engagement Rings on our website www.phillipstoner.com. Items can be purchased online, or reserved to view in the store of your choice (with no obligation to buy) by clicking the “RESERVE” button on each product’s page.

We would like to take a moment to express immense gratitude for the love, support and well wishes we’ve received over the past few days. Customers, local businesses, fellow jewellers, the Police and passers by have all been incredible.

We will be back soon, stronger and better than ever!

INTRODUCING AVA – ART DECO JEWELLERY REIMAGINED

Our Phillip Stoner boutiques have each been given an Art Deco inspired makeover to echo our incredible new jewellery collection which launches this Autumn.

For the past few months we’ve been busy behind the scenes developing a new range of Art Deco inspired diamond jewellery and rings, designed in-house and available exclusively at our stores in Leeds and Manchester.

The Ava Collection celebrates the simple lines and sculptural detail that epitomised jewellery from the Art Deco era and Arts & Crafts movement. Reimagined for a contemporary audience, each diamond is held in place securely by simple bar settings, while intricate detailing pays homage to iconic buildings of the Art Deco era, such as the the Chrysler Building in New York. The epitome of elegant simplicity.

Earrings, pendants and rings are arriving soon so keep checking back for more details.

JEWELLER CREATES PRESIDENT’S MEDAL FOR YCCC

Official Jeweller to Yorkshire County Cricket Club, Phillip Stoner, was asked to produce a commemorative medal, which was presented at the club’s Annual General Meeting on Saturday 26th March 2016.

Made from Sterling Silver, the President’s Medal was formed in the shape of the club’s distinctive Yorkshire Rose logo. The medal was then hand engraved by MD, Jonathan Stoner and finished with the Cricket club’s signature ribbon.

Previous commissions undertaken for YCCC include Retirement Trophies, Man of the Match Cufflinks, Player of the Year Trophies and the Dickie Bird clock, which can still be seen in Headingley Stadium’s West Stand.
