Phillip Stoner The Jeweller is proud to have had a long standing association with Yorkshire County Cricket Club, which continues to flourish. Since 2002 the club have commissioned pieces including the the “Dickie Bird Clock”, displayed in Headingley’s West Stand, Darren Gough’s Retirement Trophy and Man of the Match cufflinks.
This year, Phillip Stoner were honoured to have been asked to produce a commemorative trophy for retiring Chairman, Colin Graves. Sat on top of a wooden plinth, the engraved, Sterling Silver replica First Team Cap bears the club’s distinctive Yorkshire Rose logo.
A passionate farewell speech from Yorkshire County Cricket Club’s retiring Chairman, Colin Graves, brought a prolonged standing ovation at the Club’s Annual General Meeting at Headingley on Saturday 28th March 2015. Colin, who stood down after the meeting, takes up his new post as Chairman of the England and Wales Cricket Board in May.
YCCC President, Dickie Bird, who was re-elected for a second year in office, presented Colin with the Sterling Silver Retirement Trophy on behalf of the club.
